We stayed here for 2 weeks[August 26] just myself and my son. Although we had a nice time the room was not cleaned once. All they do is make the bed and empty the bin. Most of the staff do not like English people and they make it clear they don't like you. Was not made to fill welcome at all. Food was ok. The evening entertainment was mostly good. Hotel it's self was not that clean the swimming pool was very dirty and there was alot of Cockroaches out the front and saw some in the bar/coffee area. But we did make some amazing friends which great. There is also a issue with noise from other holiday makers late at night which is not on the hotel but something should be done about it.
Visited 10 years ago and never ruled out going back, located in residential area, with Santa Cruz nearby.
Decided to go back this year as we have grand daughter now and remembered how family friendly it was in the past.
Grandma, grandad, daughter and grand daughter stopped, all of us loved it so much we have booked to return next year for longer.
Excellent bus service to Santa Cruz and half hour walk to Candelaria.
Set in residential area with authentic spanish feel we much prefer to the tourist resorts.
Hotel was excellent, we upgraded to premium, well worth the extra, rooms were outstanding with lovely sea views and extras we received made it special.
We remembered how good the food was 10 years ago and this has not changed, so much choice, different culinary theme every night.
Every member of staff was pleasant, helpful, especially the lady at the reception in the restaraunt.
Could be noisy around pool bar in evening but to be expected with people enjoying their holiday, music stopped around 10 pm and it went quieter after 11pm, my grand daughter had no problem sleeping.
We went on a couple of trips and can not recommend Lorro Park enough, trips well organised through Tui.
We had a perfect week here and love Las Calletilas, can not wait to return next year.
Thank you Catalonia Punta Del Ray for making us feel welcome and for the lasting memories.
Absolutely brilliant hotel, staff are helpful and friendly. My room and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean. The food was mostly good, a huge choice of dishes, that suit all palates.
I can't wait to go back, to sit and relax in the beautiful tree shaded garden.
The hairdresser in the Hotel Catalonia was a real boost, giving me a makeover when she cut my long hair to a nice , more manageable length, at a very reasonable price.
All in all I can't praise this hotel enough.
The staff are so lovely and friendly, especially Simona. She goes above and beyond to ensure you receive a friendly welcome and fabulous service - lovely lady. The hotel is spotless despite being a bit tired looking in places. The food is delicious and there is definitely something to suit every palate. Las Calestillas is a residential area, it is quiet, authentic and blissfully peaceful and quiet. For us, this location and Hotel are perfect. We are returning next year for sure, 4th year in a row and bringing our daughter and son in law with us this time.
Room and hotel very dated, severe lack of sunbeds also life guards refuse to remove people's towel on sunbeds even though no one used sunbed for the 4hrs we where there sharing 1 sunbed B etween 4 people. Not really good enough when I have s disability. There are like 2 disability sunbed that's it.
Kept servicing two very drunk ladies who where so drunk by 1pm they couldn't get out if the pool, where extremely obnoxious to other guests and the life guards did nothing even when they almost drowned. Then carried on serving them. To be honest it was shocking.
Some of the rooms are proper grim, especially 207 which is right over the disco, bins, skip and storage unit 100z% guaranteed no sleep!?
The positive was the food was very good in the buffet restaurant and Jules the rep Is a star. Avoid young male receptionist with glasses makes out he a manager but not. He is noralky doing evening check ins yeb just him he's quite rude and unhelpful. You can be waiting 2+hrs to be check into the hotel it's snail pace.
The entertainment and restaurant staff work damn hard the aqua fit is good fun. Thete are a lot of things that need changing twicking definitely not 4*
