A very pleasant experience. Beautiful resort, relaxing atmosphere, and lovely rooms with a beautiful view. The animation team was wonderful and created a great atmosphere throughout the day without being intrusive. We especially enjoyed the yoga sessions and archery. The evening programs were diverse and very well organized, while the dance performances and the Greek night were true highlights. The food was also varied, with a different theme every evening. The only slight downside is that the hotel is located a bit far from the town, but this is well compensated by the evening entertainment and overall atmosphere at the resort. We would gladly visit this hotel again.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean, fresh and well maintained, with lovely rooms. The food was consistently very good, with a good variety of options. Their ”animation team” did a fantastic job organising fun activities and entertainment throughout both the day and evening. They really made such an effort and were all so welcoming when you met them around the hotel. There were plenty of sun loungers around the pool area, but if you wanted one of the best spots, you needed to get there early. Unfortunately, some guests reserved sun loungers and then left them unattended, and the staff did not seem to actively manage this. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent hotel which has recently been modernized. The rooms are furnished in a modern style. Good choice of fresh food. The grounds are lovely. Direct access to the beach. The staff are what makes this place so special. It is a resort so little nearby but you can get a local bus into Rynithmo.
We had a fantastic time at Creta Star. We wanted a relaxing trip away by the beach and this fulfilled our wishes. The rooms were modern and well kept with thanks to housekeeping. I also wanted to say a huge thank you to all the catering staff in the kitchen and on the restaurant floors. They went above and beyond to accommodate my allergy, a seperate dessert for me each evening. Even a pizza and pasta dish on a couple of evenings. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Having an allergy can restrict so much but you all put me as ease. Nothing was any trouble. I wasn't able to thank you but please pass on my gratitude. A couple of areas of improvement would be to have allergen notices on all foods. Breakfast items, desserts and dressings/dips have no label. Lastly, there is a no smoking area in front of the beach bar. This sign is not enforced but would be great if it could be. As a non-smoker, there isn't anywhere to stay away from smoke. We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you all!
The animation team at Creta Star were absolutely brilliant. Every single one of them brought so much energy, fun, and positivity to the hotel. But Lea and Niki truly stood out — they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine kindness made such a difference. They didn’t just entertain us… they made us feel part of something. It was fantastic. All the staff across the hotel deserve huge praise too. From the cleaning team to the bar and catering staff, everyone works with a smile and creates such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You can tell it’s a lovely place to work. And finally — the food. The experience at Meze and Mistral Taverna was on another level. The chefs are outstanding. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavour, and the service was so professional. We were waited on and genuinely felt like royalty. It was absolutely amazing and the perfect finishing touch to an already brilliant holiday. Creta Star gets everything right. We’ll definitely be back next year.
