Visited this hotel recently and was not entirely impressed. The rooms were stained and very run down, but if you are only sleeping in the room, then it’s decent. There was no hand soap in the rooms and some of the pillows smelt dirty. The staff were nice, however upon check out, we asked if there wasn’t a place for luggage as our transfer was 6 hours later than checkout, we were then told by the woman that there wasn’t no room to put suitcases in, so we had to drag our luggage around for 6 hours, despite the fact it stated that there is a room for luggage. Breakfast was great and there was lots of variety, however, dinner was not great at all. I would revisit Calella again, but definitely book a different hotel.

My experience at this hotel wasn’t great, however, I do know that it is a 3 star hotel, so there was some positives but mostly negatives. It is incredibly loud and overcrowded, at night it’s impossible to get a good sleep unless you buy earplugs, there is a noise coming from somewhere in the hallways or other rooms every minute, and there’s a lot of summer camps and trips so kids are quite loud and disrespectful, my first night I woke up at 4am and couldn’t fall back asleep due to a group of them making so much noise, despite being told to be quiet numerous times. When I told reception about this, they said to call them when it next happened but the phone in the room wouldn’t work. There is free WiFi which you don’t normally get in 3 stars but it kept turning off randomly through out my whole stay, more specifically at night time. The all inclusive is like a school canteen, overcrowded, queues everywhere and massive tables that you always have to share with other people, stuff runs out quick so there is no point paying for all inclusive as you will have to go out for food everyday anyway. You can’t bring anything from the all inclusive buffet outside of it, you aren’t even allowed in to get a drink or anything in there like ice cream but if there’s a nice staff member that lets you go inside, they force you to eat or drink in there, a bit weird.. Staff was mostly really nice but some were extremely rude and disrespectful, the majority made my stay a lot better because of their hospitality and kindness. The pool area wasn’t that bad but it was so packed that you can’t get a sunbed after lunch time and the pool has way too many people in it. The pool was quite deep and not that bad but there was constantly people spitting, people spitting gum and people were very inconsiderate. The problem with 3 stars is that you get trashy people and it’s unavoidable, people at this hotel are mostly just rude and not considerable to others, a family members hat was stolen by the people on sunbeds behind us when we left to get a drink from the bar for less than 5 minutes. By the end of the day, there is enough hair in the pool to make wigs for everyone in the hotel Entertainment is really good for the young kids, and the team behind it is extremely talented and kind but it doesn’t start until around 9pm. It’s in a really good location, Calella is a must visit place but I would recommend staying at another hotel in the area, paying more is so much more worth it. If you need a place to sleep and only sleep, it’s good for that.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for one week and i have mixed reviews. If you have kids and don’t mind dirty rooms then this is perfect for you. Started off walking in to a lady screaming that the staff had said something inappropriate about her thinking that she wouldnt understand. Then we got to our rooms and it was filthy. There was yellow stuff in the bath marks over the walls and it was just disgusting. I asked reception to switch rooms as it wasn’t what i had booked and it took them a trip up to see the room and an extra 20 mins of saying there wasn’t any availability until i got a different room. It wasn’t much better however we had to stay in it until a manager moved us to an upgraded room the next day ( which was just a bog standard room). However besides all of this the pool facilities were good and the entertainment was good for kids not really suited for adults. There were a lot of groups there on trips so was crowded and the food was disappointing. Overall the staff were lovely and so was the pool however i wouldn’t be staying here again.

Reception and pool bar staff alike are rude and unprofessional. When booking it specified all staff spoke English and they do until you need to put a complaint in. They treat you like you are stupid. Rooms were clean but the plug sockets are right next to the light switches meaning if you plugged something in, the light would turn on. Food was okay, it was edible but no variety at all. No options for those wilts allergies or with coeliac disease. Would not consider ever staying here again in the future. If we had more than two nights left here, I’d demand to be placed in their sister hotel, hypo Jadhe as that’s much better from the looks of it.

Sat in the restaurant having dinner on my last night at htop Olympic. We were so worried seeing all of the reviews my husband in particular was dreading it! But despite all the worries and bad reviews It’s a budget family hotel but the food is edible, regularly changed always fully stocked. As a family of 5 we always got seated and always sunbeds available on either of the 3 pools. The bathroom in the room was dated but always cleaned by the cleaners here and beds were comfy. Beach is a 10 min walk away with loads of shops and restaurants, can highly recommend kings! Beach was very wavey due to the time of year but clean. We would return!
