Positives: - Excellent location near the zoo and the Aquarius Spa. The heated tunnel connecting the hotel directly to Aquarius was a big plus, and free access to the spa for hotel guests is a great benefit. - The rooms were very quiet and warm (we stayed in October) - Nice lobby area near the hotel bar - The hotel itself is new and modern, surrounded by green area and a lake. There’s also a beautiful multimedia fountain right next to the hotel Downsides: - We found several (about 7–8) bugs in our room on the first night, which made us feel very uncomfortable. - The staff’s English skills were very limited, which made communication difficult. - We received the wrong room type — although we had booked an Executive Room, we were given a Standard one. When we went back to reception to clarify, the receptionist barely understood us as she was struggling with her english. Since we had already unpacked, we decided to keep the room and requested a refund for the price difference, but they were unable to do this and instead suggested we spend the difference at the hotel, which was not very convenient.
I was looking forward to this trip but unfortunately the hotel did not meet the expectations. The rooms were nice but the swimming pools were really dirty and full of dead skin. Everyday it smelled like urine around the bathrooms and there was a lot of water on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. The food was good but there was not much diversity. Once the fruits put out were done, there was no replacing them. No food for the young children, everything had salt and extra sugar. The play room was sooooo smaaaallll and just opened at 9 am... The kids wake up much earlier than that. This was the worst hunguest hotel, it s the 4th hunguest hotel that I've been to. The best one is in Gyula, really recommend that one. Extra, people did not speak English and it was a language barrier. It was much more expensive than other hunguest hotels for nothing. I ve been there with my family and had 3 rooms. Will not come back ever!
Everything was epic: the room, the hotel itself, breakfast and dinner, the location. The spa was good. I appreciated the saunas and the outdoor pool
The hotel and the rooms are nicely renovated. The location is good. The elevators are unbelievably slow, but more importantly, the food is very average, definitely not 4* standard. Not strictly hotel issue, but we were expecting better spa facilities as well.
One of the best hotels I've stayed in Hungary. The overall look and feel boasts luxury. The food was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is awesome. Every possible thing is a hop step and a jump away. Unlike any other mainstream Hungarian city the area is very well designed and planned to make every age feel welcome and have a great time.
