We had a wonderful stay at Iberostar Waves Gaviotas Park and overall we were extremely happy with our holiday.
The hotel is beautiful, very well maintained and especially suitable for families with children. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff throughout the hotel were always kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed the facilities, the pools and the overall experience. Travelling with our 10-month-old daughter, we found the hotel to be a great choice for a family holiday.
A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who really added something extra to our stay. A big thank you especially to Mike and David, always friendly, enthusiastic and full of energy. I had a wonderful yoga class with David, which I really enjoyed, while Mike definitely made me work hard during his aqua bike classes 😅 — challenging and tiring in the best possible way! I also joined several other activities and always had a great time. The whole team knows how to involve guests without ever being pushy, which we really appreciated.
The only disappointing part of our stay was the late check-out. We asked about it in advance, but unfortunately it was not possible. We completely understand that availability cannot always be guaranteed, but travelling with a 10-month-old baby and having an evening flight at 8 pm, having to leave the room so early made our last day quite difficult. For a hotel that is otherwise so well suited to families, it would be wonderful if more flexibility or a dedicated solution could be offered to families with very young children in this situation.
Apart from this, we had a fantastic experience and would like to thank the entire team for making our holiday so enjoyable. We leave with many lovely memories and would happily come back!
Thank you for such a wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful and all the staff work so hard with the catering, cleaning and activities. Fantastic variety of food, the beach is really close by and the tennis court is great. I especially enjoyed the fitness classes with Diana (beach pilates, aquabike and tabata!) She has such a warm personality and makes everyone feel very welcome! Thank you also to our cleaner, Tania, who went above and beyond, even surprising us by making a little elephant out of towels and a pair of sunglasses! We had wonderful massages from Claudia and Anna - honestly the most relaxed I've ever been! There is such a calm and happy energy in the hotel - nothing feels too big of an ask. The hotel is definitely more aimed at family visitors, however we went as a couple and still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend!!
Fabulous! That is the right word to describe what we have been experiencing at this hotel since our arrival. Excellent food, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and very helpful staff.
Special thanks to Mike from the animation team. He is doing his best to entertain the guests and make them feel special. We truly enjoy every activity he leads.
Do not hesitate - just visit this hotel!
Amazing hotel for parents with small kids. Everything was spotless clean. The food was very high quality with variability every day. The animation and possibilities for children were unbelievable - We have never been in a hotel like this. There is pretty much no chance of being bored in this resort.
Only possible downside was the proximity to the beach (15 min walk) and that sun loungers on the beach were expensive to rent (however this is not to fault the hotel as the beach belongs to the council).
Overall amazing experience and great memories for us and for our kids !
We have just returned from a week stay at gaviotas park and just wanted to rave about how good it was for a family of 5 (2 adults, 7y old and 4y old twins). This is an amazing hotel for kids, from slides in reception to pop up activities throughout the day. We didn’t use the kids clubs because there was enough around to keep the boys entertained all day including the arcade, games room, pools and the park by the sea! My boys spent most of their time in the sea/pool, with evenings spent enjoying the kids disco before the main entertainment at 9! The food was great- something for everyone, and the boys loved having snacks and ice creams on tap all day!! Honestly I would highly recommend this hotel for families with younger kids! I can’t fault it! I definitely would return in a heartbeat!
