The Joya Del Mar Hotel is located right on the beach in Marmaris. This small, intimate hotel has just 48 rooms and offers guests a private beach and stunning sea or mountain views.
For families and couples
With rooms for three or four people, it is ideal for families. On-site facilities include a pool, spa, restaurant and bike hire.
The only good thing about the hotel is its location. That's all I experienced. Other than that, service was awful, staff was insufficient. The food was terrible. The pictures they have put on Instagram and the website has nothing to do with the reality. The room we paid for was Deluxe but it was just a normal standard room with a lot of problems. The food was beyond terrible. Most of the guests were dissatisfied and left earlier than expected. The money we spent was for a fine hotel but unfortunately the whole experience was awful.
The Joya Del Mar hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful, thank you to everyone at the hotel. Everything is inclusive and the food and drink is fabulous. The private beach and dive area is beautiful. You will feel immediately relaxed as soon as you arrive. Five stars
A Romantic Escape to Remember – One of Our Favorite Places Ever
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We’re currently enjoying a 10-day romantic getaway at Hotel Joya Del Mar in Marmaris, Turkey, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with another couple who are our closest friends. We've traveled extensively over the years and stayed at many excellent resorts and hotels around the world—but this one has quickly become one of our absolute favorites.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel’s charm and warmth. Our standard room with a sea view is right on the beach and features a very comfortable king-size bed—perfect for relaxing while listening to the gentle sounds of the sea.
This is an all-inclusive hotel, and the food has been nothing short of outstanding. The variety and quality are impressive, and the Turkish cuisine in particular is exceptional—elevated, flavorful, and truly unforgettable.
What really makes Joya Del Mar special, however, is the staff. We’ve never experienced such genuinely friendly and caring service. While not all staff members are fluent in English, they more than make up for it with warmth and sincerity. I had a minor request on our first day that was initially overlooked, but the way the staff responded afterward was above and beyond—offering multiple kind gestures and attention that truly touched us.
A special mention must go to Gizem and Emre at the reception—two incredibly polite, helpful, and gracious young people who made us feel truly welcomed.
The beach is small but beautiful, a perfect spot to unwind. The only slight downside is the nearby yacht club, which partially obstructs the view. But considering Marmaris is the yacht capital of Turkey, it's a common sight and doesn’t detract much from the overall experience.
We are deeply grateful for this unforgettable stay and will absolutely recommend Hotel Joya Del Mar to all our friends. We sincerely hope to return again soon!
Very good alternative to the port in Marmaris. Peace, quiet, reasonable prices. The restaurant is quite exquisite. Prices are moderate. If someone pays a few hundred euros to come here to eat a kebab for a few euros, they should look somewhere else. The only disadvantage of the restaurant is the relatively expensive drinks (wine). Beautiful, quiet beach. I would gladly come back here. I have not been to the hotel so I do not know what the conditions are like.
The breakfast was ok. For 2 days straight I had egg shells in my food, but everything else was good. Service can at times be slow, and communicating our needs were a challenge but all in all it was a nice quiet place to stay in.
The rooms were clean, the beds were ok, can't say they're great because they weren't since the mattresses were thinner and less springy than most 4 to 5 star hotels I've stayed at.
Communication was a major barrier, expect a lot of hand gesturing. The ladies who cleaned out rooms were so lovely, really enjoyed them. Staff were so friendly and patient with our kids. The manager was friendly and addressed our needs accordingly as well.
