As a whole I really don’t find a thing I would change, trust all the good comments and recommendations me and my husband aren’t easy to please when it comes to holidays and hotels :D Kefaluka really deserved our 5 star;
We were looking for a honeymoon spot for a week and the chose Kefaluka in seconds as it felt like the best spot. We were a little bit confused and concerned because of the bad comments but decided to trust the good once. Today is our 3rd day of a week stay and I must say that we are really happy with the choice. The food is so delicious and variable we were surprised to see comments as “not enough” and “not tasty”. The view and the resort is marvellously beautiful. İt is windy sometimes, but this is not something that depends on the hotel stuff :D the name of the hotel itself says so and moreover if it was not windy we would boil as the weather is so hot. The rooms may not be furnished with luxury furniture but it’s clean and neat, rooms are being cleaned daily and the have all the features. Anytime we have a slight problem or asking the stuff is very respectful and responsive and always has the right answer and solution. Everyone is very polite and friendly, you feel relaxed all the time. There are activities throughout the day so you are never bored.
We had an amazing stay at Kefaluka Bodrum, and one of the biggest reasons was the incredible service from Kenan Agazade from Guest Relations. From the first day, he was extremely kind, professional, and always ready to help us with anything we needed.
He truly made my family’s holiday special and unforgettable. His attention, positive attitude, and the way he cared about every detail made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. It is rare to meet someone who genuinely puts so much effort into making guests happy.
A huge thank you to Kenan for everything! He is an amazing person and a great example of what true hospitality means. He made our experience at Kefaluka even better, and we are very grateful. 🤍
I normally never take the time to write reviews, but after our stay at this hotel I feel I have to warn others. If I had to describe our experience in one word, it would be: terrible!! See pictures I have uploaded.
Things already went wrong from the moment we checked in. We weren’t welcomed at all, and the reception staff were very unfriendly. When we asked questions about the hotel’s facilities, we barely got any answers. We felt more like a burden than valued guests.
When we entered our room, it was immediately obvious that it was poorly maintained. The walls were damaged in several places, and there was even a connecting door to the room next to ours, which made us feel unsafe. But that wasn’t even the worst part. There were tiny ants everywhere in the room, on the desk, inside the drawers, and in several other places. We wanted to call the reception immediately, but even the phone in the room wasn’t working.
When we went back to reception, we were offered another room. However, it was smaller, located two floors lower, had a much worse view, and was close to the elevators. Since we were travelling with our 1.5 year old daughter, who is a very light sleeper, that simply wasn’t an option for us. We had specifically paid for a larger room with a nice view. The staff then suggested giving our original room a thorough cleaning to solve the ant problem, and we agreed.
Unfortunately, the next morning the ants were back. They were even inside my husband’s shoes, crawling on the bed, and even on our little daughter. At that point we completely lost trust in the hotel. When we reported it again, we didn’t even receive an apology. We were simply told they would clean the room again. We decided we wanted to check out one day early, but we were refused a refund because, according to the staff, the day had already passed. It was only 12:00 noon. We found that completely unacceptable, but we had no choice but to check out anyway, meaning we had lost the money we had already paid for that night.
The elevators are another nightmare. You can easily wait 15 minutes because they are constantly overcrowded. And once you’re finally inside, the elevator stops on almost every floor. The hallways are also poorly lit in the evening, which made the hotel feel even less pleasant. On top of that, the walls between the rooms are paper thin. You can hear absolutely everything from the neighbouring rooms, which meant we barely got any sleep. Food is also tasteless and drinks also really bad, the cold coffees and the coktails are terrible!
I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. There are plenty of better places where you’ll actually get value for your money.
Just returned from our fourth visit. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. What's most noticeable to us is that the hotel mgmt. are always looking to improve.
What makes this hotel special are the spectacular views and the wonderful service. Watching the sun go down with a cocktail from the Terrace Bar or your balcony are memories you'll keep returning to. And the staff are fantastic. Kind, friendly, and helpful. They were a credit to their families and the hotel.
If you love grilled meats, fresh salads, traditional stews, and Turkish breads then you'll love the main buffet restaurant. We always ate lunch away from the main restaurant for variety and the different views. The savoury pancakes from Gozeleme were delicious, the salads and breasts from Agora were great. Plus this year they've opened up a burger restaurant during the day, with tasty burgers and great views. The A La Carte Fish Restaurant also deserves a special mention... Lovely service, nice wines and truly tasty local fish (well except the salmon, that was tasty just not local 😂). We didn't take breakfast, never any space left.
The only drawback I suppose is that the rooms are dated. However, they are comfortable, clean, well appointed, and have stunning views... which ultimately are the most important things.
We get excited before we go, we love every minute, we are sad to leave, and we take friends and family when we return... that's the highest compliment I can pay to any hotel.
Great hotel. Variety of lovely food and drink choices.
Poolside and evening entertainment also great.
Staff are so attentive and friendly, and go to great lengths to make you feel welcomed.
Lovely beach that makes for a good walk aswell.
Would definitely come back and recommend the hotel to anyone!
