What an amazing hotel with great service! From the moment we drove on the property we received the red carpet treatment. Parking was easy. Rooms were lovely. Close to downtown , walking distance. The restaurant on the terrace was very accommodating for my children, 6&9. The pool was really fun and thankfully had kid friendly times.
They really went above and beyond after we left. My son left his souvenir and was heartbroken. They did everything they could to get it back to us and went out of their way to the post office to ship it to the US.
Feedback for the hotel to consider: I do wish the Asian restaurant had hours they allowed children because it looked great! I was sad we couldn’t go. No AC, though no AC seems to be a general thing in the UK
we had such an amazing stay at the lakes hotel and spa. honestly could not recommend this place enough!! the staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms were absolutely gorgeous and spacious with amazing views. my partner took me here for a surprise birthday getaway & it was perfect. we will definitely be coming back!! the spa was so relaxing and was never overcrowded. the food at the restaurant (mizumi) attached to the hotel was amazing and so delicious. highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special weekend getaway!
Just got back from an amazing stay at Lakes hotel and spa. Lady on the front desk was very polite and check in was a breeze. She checked us in with a glass of prosseco and then informed us that we had been upgraded to a hot tub room for free! Great start! We then met Patrick (Concierge) who showed us around the hotel and guided us to our stunning room. We didnt have dinner in the hotel so cant comment on the food but I did have a peak in the 'Mazumi' restaraunt and it looked stunning! We did have a drink on the balcony terrace which was nice. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Plentiful and lots of choice. TIP: Get to breakfast at 8am for the place to yourself.. It fills up very quickly and was full by the time we left at 8.30. All in all, a great stay with first class service. Well worth the money.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Lakes Hotel & Spa and can’t recommend it highly enough!
From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The complimentary Prosecco on arrival was such a lovely touch and made us feel welcome straight away. The spa facilities were fantastic clean, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind.
What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single member of the team was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. A special mention goes to the gentleman who showed us to our room. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but he was so knowledgeable about the hotel, took the time to explain everything, and his genuine enthusiasm made us want to come back for an even longer stay next time.
The outstanding service truly made all the difference. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already planning our return.
On arrival the guy near the barrier was so lovely and friendly it definitely set the tone for the rest of the stay.
We had arrived early and was told we could leave the car no problems and make use of the spa facilities if we wished. Our apartment wasn't ready yet but told we could return at 3pm to check in a bit early if needed. We spoke to 3 different reception staff whilst we were there and they were all absolutely lovely.
Next we met Mark who showed us around the hotel and was so knowledgeable about all its history and so very kindly offered us a lift in the Bentley to the centre whilst it was my birthday.
Our apartment was spotless and Mark kindly showed us to it and pointed out some of the features and where to find everything. The Elemis products were a nice touch and we had plenty of towels, robes and flip-flops.
The spa was nice and quiet and had everything we needed, it was a nice feature to have the drinks hatch through to the pub.
The few things I would mention is that at the price and star rating I feel there should be at least a couple of bottles of water in the fridge and either a coffee machine or some better quality coffee to use. Saying that it didn't compromise our stay and would come back (with my own coffee 😊)
