We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Servatur Riosol! From the moment we arrived, the staff specifically Paul made us feel welcome with their kindness, professionalism, and friendly attitude.
The hotel has breathtaking views over the ocean, especially at sunset. Our room was spacious, spotless, and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The swimming pools were well maintained, and there was always a relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The food was delicious with plenty of choice every day. There was something for everyone, and we really enjoyed trying different dishes throughout our stay.
A special thank you goes to Aleksander, the entertainment host. He was absolutely fantastic—friendly, energetic, and always smiling. He made every activity fun and made everyone feel included, no matter their age. His enthusiasm and positive attitude created an amazing atmosphere and made our holiday even more memorable. He is a real credit to the hotel, and we hope to see him again on our next visit!
The location is excellent, with easy access to the beach, shops, restaurants, and local attractions. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything Gran Canaria has to offer.
A huge thank you to the entire team at Servatur Riosol for making our holiday so special. We created unforgettable memories here and will definitely be back. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with amazing views, excellent service, great entertainment, and outstanding value for money.
After all the problems we’ve had recently, Paul has been absolutely incredible. He has gone above and beyond to make sure we are okay and enjoying our stay. He has checked on us every day to see if we need anything and has always been so kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and it’s clear he truly wants every guest to have the best experience possible.
Paul works incredibly hard to make sure everything runs smoothly, and his dedication and professionalism really shine through. He is a real credit to Hotel Riosol, and his outstanding customer service has made such a positive difference to our holiday.
Thank you so much, Paul, for everything you’ve done for us. Your kindness and support have meant so much
The hotel is, to put it mildly, awful. There are cockroaches, and I am here with an 8-month-old baby, which I do not think is acceptable at all. At the very least, it should be mentioned somewhere that the hotel is full of cockroaches so that families with children can avoid coming here (not that it’s okay for adults either – personally, I am terrified of cockroaches).
There are no mosquito screens on the windows, nor is there air conditioning, so whenever you open the window or the door, the room fills with cockroaches and mosquitoes.
In addition, people were smoking cannabis around the pool area, which was extremely unpleasant, especially considering that we are travelling with an 8-month-old baby. We did not expect to be exposed to the smell of marijuana during a family holiday.
The fruit and vegetables are spoiled. The staff are at least polite and try to keep the place clean, but the fact that the hotel is old and worn out makes it impossible to maintain proper cleanliness.
The cocktails at the bar are basically water with some coloring added and come from a machine. If you want to drink something of decent quality, of course, you have to pay extra.
We still have a day and a half left here, and I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get through it. I would never visit this hotel again!
Despite the really nice view from the hotel, there are a few things worth considering before booking.
If you’re planning to spend time at the beach, be prepared: it’s about a 30-minute walk away, and because the hotel is located on top of a mountain, the walk back can be quite challenging.
The room was very spacious, and the cleanliness was genuinely good. However, despite taking the lift to my floor, I still had to climb four flights of stairs to reach my room, which may be difficult for some guests, especially when carrying luggage. One morning, I left the door open to let some fresh air in, and a cleaner entered my room without any warning. Luckily, I wasn’t sleeping or getting dressed at the time.
I also asked reception about alternatives to get to the airport besides a taxi. Unfortunately, there were none apart from taking a bus from the city, which is about a 30-minute walk from the hotel. The taxi fare was €86, which was an unexpected expense that I hadn’t budgeted for.
The staff were generally okay, but I had a few interactions that left me feeling uncomfortable. For example, one receptionist asked me to repeat the directions to my room back to him, which felt a little patronising. On another occasion, I asked the bartender if I could have my drink in a real glass instead of a plastic cup. He handed me both a plastic cup and a glass and said, “So you don’t have to come back in five minutes.” Another time, while I was eating, a staff member made gestures and told me, “Tomorrow you can walk to the beach and back,” which made me feel quite uncomfortable.
A special shout-out to the animation team, who were friendly, engaging, and definitely one of the highlights of my stay.
Overall, I won’t be coming back and would not recommend this hotel.
Really enjoyed my trip to peurto rico and stay in this hotel. We were looking for an affordable trip /budget holiday and came across this hotel, wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.
The self catering rooms (really it was a 1 bedroom apartment with a massive balcony) were so spacious, as a vegan travelling there were few and far between vegan options in gran canaria, so the kitchenette was fantastic to have to prepare our own meals, the hotel offered a vegan burger also which I was very impressed with.
The pools were amazing, the general pool included chairs, a table and umbrellas, free of charge, there were plenty available so you weren't hard pressed to find a seat.
Paid for the VIP pool one of the days and was really impressed, very luxurious and relaxing with a cocktail, towels, four poster beds and access to the jacuzzi (with beds submerged in it to relax on) and the pool there) for 25 euro for the day it was a brilliant experience.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, they made our stay stress free and enjoyable.
The activities offered at the hotel were great also, played in a rifle shooting competition and water polo and had a great time. All included in your stay free of charge.
Really really impressed.
