Stay in Golden Sands
Grifid Hotel Metropol is an ideal choice for visitors searching for accommodations in Golden Sands that cater to various types of travelers.
Hello. Everything is exceptional, every staff member is very polite, they were so friendly that everyone was trying to say hello in your language for example once they knew where you are from. The serving is really fast and the food is exceptional. The cleaning is top, they are really cleaning everyday, especially outside they clean and wash multiple times on a day, for example on the beach bathroom they clean multiple times, or the restaurant terace at least once a day we saw them washing it, this is very important in my opinion. Every drink is bottled, except for the beach bar, but there is a reason why, to not happen accidents and get cut or something and also they are brands such as Pepsi portofolio. The cocktails are amazing. They are the first hotel where i saw that they don’t limit the employees and they are not on a budget with that, which is really making a difference, because more employees can deliver better quality service, also everyone was so polite and with a smile. We had 7 nights and i would have stay even more, i really felt relaxed. And last but not least, we befriended the beach bar guys, there we were most of the time and they are the most exceptional people, especially Edy, he is such a kind person and you can see that he is very nice and present, trying to be everywhere for everyone. Even if he had work he still got the time to make you laugh while he was preparing your drink for exemple and i saw multiple guests really liked him and were constantly seeking him or saying hi or laughing together. He is amazing, also his colleagues, but we just felt closer to him. I recommand already to anyone this hotel and we will return for sure. The rooms are bigger than they seem from the pictures and in my opinion more beautiful.
I'm having the best solo holiday ever thanks to the amazing staff at Grifid Metropole! Thank you so much to Vanina, Guess Relations Manager, Mirella' Front Office Manager, Ivo, Deputy Manager (the best hotel Manager I've ever met) Maya and Rosen and the whole above and beyond reception team, along with the amazing bar and restaurant team, David, beach bartender and Marianna notably and the amazing first time housekeeper Agus. These guys are very serious when it came to making sure you had the best holiday. They were all kind, warm and genuine. Menu dining was superb, amazing wines, wonderful Bulgarian sparkling wine, great entertainment, and very comfortable facilities. There is a different dining theme every evening - all fresh and delicious. Everybody did their job to the utmost highest standards and attention to detail. Outdoor Bio and Infinity pools were great too and I swam in both and usually don't do pools in May!! The beach is also next door with the lovely David running the nearby and convenient beach bar! This adult only hotel in the Grifid Hotels chain is perfect for solo travellers!! Only 30 mins from Varna Airport. Highly recommended - please book!! Very happy guest! 😎⭐️😊 xxx
Best stay at the Black Sea!
Great personnel, clean and nice hotel, good amenities (pools, spa, fitness, etc) and very close to the sea. But the best thing was the atmosphere - adults only is a big plus!
If I could find a flaw it would be the small elevators.
Looking forward to my next visit here!
Overall Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement
I recently spent seven nights at GRIFID Metropol Hotel, and while the experience was generally positive, a few areas fell short of expectations.
The hotel itself is very well-equipped, featuring spacious rooms and generously sized bathrooms. The pool facilities and sun loungers were excellent — perfect for a relaxing holiday atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, although some items, like the steamed bacon, didn’t quite meet European standards in terms of preparation.
We had the chance to attend several of the themed dinners during our stay. Unfortunately, these events did not live up to their promised culinary concepts. The Fusion nine-course dinner had the appearance of a gourmet experience but lacked the depth of flavor and execution to truly impress. The Brazilian night bore little resemblance to authentic Brazilian cuisine and might be better served by embracing Bulgarian barbecue traditions instead. Similarly, the Italian night missed the mark in representing its culinary heritage.
On a brighter note, dining at the neighboring GRIFID Vistamar hotel was a delightful experience — the rooftop setting offered a wonderful ambience and a much stronger gastronomic impression.
While I attempted to share feedback with the guest agent regarding these areas for improvement, I felt the response was somewhat dismissive, which was disappointing considering the potential value of constructive input.
All in all, it was a good stay with strong highlights in accommodation and amenities. With a few adjustments, particularly in the culinary department, this property has great potential to deliver a truly memorable experience.
We were very satisfied. All the staff were very nice - receptionist, maid, waiters, in short, everyone was smiling and willing to help. We really enjoyed the food and there was a good selection, also the themed dinners were a bonus. The beach and pool are great, as are the staff. We enjoyed a week here full of rest, good food, drinks and all this without screaming children (sometimes from the hotel next door). We can only recommend the hotel, in our opinion it deserves 5 stars. Thank you very much to all the staff and we would love to come back sometime.
