How many stars does ESTONIA Resort Hotel Spa have?
We chose Estonia Resort Hotel & Spa for a relaxing getaway and to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be a great decision.
The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay.
The spa area was definitely a highlight, a great variety of saunas and pools, all well-maintained. Everything felt thoughtfully designed for relaxation.
Breakfast was excellent, with a good fresh selection.
A special thanks to the hotel and restaurant for the lovely birthday gesture, it was a very nice touch and truly appreciated.
The room was clean and cozy, with very comfortable beds. The location is also perfect, close to the beach and within walking distance of the center.
I would especially recommend visiting on weekdays, as it’s much quieter and more relaxing.
Overall, a great place for a relaxing stay or a special occasion. We would definitely come back.
very nice hotel, honestly left a really good impression. the lady at the reception was very sweet and welcoming, and the reception area itself is beautiful - sets a really nice vibe right away.
the spa is amazing 😍 there’s so much to do and you can easily spend hours there. the “black sea” pool was definitely a highlight - a must have. just a small note: if you have any cuts or sensitive skin, maybe skip it or be careful because it can sting 😅
our room was lovely, we had one with a balcony which made it even better. the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very aesthetic and modern.
the only thing that could be improved is the cleaning - there was a spider web on the wall, the mirror wasn’t perfectly clean and there were some hair in the shower drain… but honestly, these are small things and didn’t ruin the overall experience at all because everything else was on a high level.
breakfast was excellent, a lot of choice and everything tasted really good.
overall, definitely a place i’d come back to ❤️
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and paid €1,000 for our stay. For that price, I expected at least a decent, average-quality hotel. Instead, I was genuinely shocked when we entered our room.
The bathroom was in terrible condition. The bathroom door was chipped and damaged, and the shower head could only be used while attached to an old shower hose that was slimy, rusty, and dirty. Every time we took a shower, water flooded the entire bathroom floor. The shower curtain was disgusting—it constantly stuck to our bodies with its cold, slimy surface.
To make matters worse, there wasn’t even a heated towel rail or towel rack in the bathroom. Towels had to be hung on a simple clothesline to dry, which felt completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
Even as a student trying to save every euro, I have never had to shower in conditions like these.
The carpet in the room smelled strongly of urine, which made the entire room unpleasant.
I don’t know if we were given this room because we were travelling with a dog, but regardless, this is absolutely not the standard I expected for €1,000. It was a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this hotel.
Location is good, close to the beach and next to the main cafe/restaurant street. Services were nice and the spa was great, spa didnt have a pool for children. Deadsea pool wasn't that special either. Gym had some very special eqiupment, but lacked on some basics, like no kettlebells. Also music was too loud in gym. The room was dusty, under bed and top of bedframe was dusty, floor didn't feel clean, and one of the glasses in bathroom was dirty. The bed was good and the pillows were nice.
We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my birthday. Overall, the value for money is good, but some details really ruined the mood.
On the plus side, the breakfasts are amazing with a huge choice for both adults and toddlers (waffles, fruits, and even prosecco). Dinner at NOOT restaurant was also great—the staff was super polite, they poured the wine at our table, and even put a candle in my dessert, which was very sweet.
But the spa and the service at the end were a letdown. First, the spa is not toddler-friendly at all. The pools are 1.3 meters deep everywhere, and there is no small pool for babies. I had to spend the whole time sitting on the steps holding my 1.5-year-old daughter. Also, the baby water basin in the Joy bath sauna was gross—the water was cold, stagnant, and there was stranger's hair floating in it. In a warm sauna, that's just a huge hygiene issue.
My 90-minute "Power Tree" massage was pure marketing. The master just tapped me with branches through a towel for 5 minutes, rubbed me with some scratchy gloves (I can do that at home in my shower), and the rest was just a basic massage.
The worst part was the contrast in service after check-out. We went to the bar by the kids' playground around noon. No waiters around, so I ordered 2 coffees and a glass of wine at the counter. The girl there was so rude and unhappy, didn't smile at all, poured the wine from some bottle under the counter, and just pushed the coffees at me to carry them to the table myself. After the nice restaurant experience the night before, this felt awful.
But overall, we are happy with our stay and everything was good. It’s a nice place with amazing food, just keep these small details in mind.
P.S. A quick tip for parents: if you are traveling with a toddler, make sure to bring your own bathrobe from home and rubber slippers for a toddler, because the floor in the spa area is extremely slippery!
